  • How can I join the Society?

Simple - see our membership page. The Society always welcomes new members – if you live in Belfast or nearby why not come along to the next meeting and meet other members and hear about our future work/ leisure programme. It costs £25 per year to join - there is a joining pack which you will receive and you will get up to three issues of the Society's flagship journal, called CQD, per year.

  • Does the Society have meetings/speakers?

Yes we do - there is a programme of meetings from September each year through to May/June for our members and invited guests. The programme consists of Titanic related material and is provided using the expert knowledge and research of our membership as well as by invited, external guest speakers.

  • Can the Belfast Titanic Society provide a speaker for talks?

Yes in most cases we can. The charge is currently a minimum of £50 for each talk delivered. What we need to know is the date, time and location of your proposed talk and any alternative dates. Please remember though the Society gets a lot of enquires about talks and the more advanced notice you can give us the better chance of securing the services of one of our speakers. Our talks can be tailored to meet your needs so please let us have as much relevant information as possible as to who your audience is and if you have a specific topic area in mind.

  • Can the Society answer my questions on Titanic history?

We do welcome specific enquiries relating to the Titanic Story and our local Belfast and Northern Ireland connections. However we are unable to address or answer enquiries of a general nature - there are plenty of internet/ online resources and published materials for consultation. Our Society is run by volunteers so please be patient in awaiting an answer to any emails or correspondence.

  • Can the Society review my book?

Members of our Society do regularly review published Titanic material and if appropriate we publish such reviews in our Society journal 'CQD' - publishers and authors should send any published material to the Society's Secretary.

  • Does the Society provide information on Titanic matters?

The Society has a long history associated with the Belfast Titanic story and Society members are well qualified to provide information on many aspects of the Titanic story, particularly its local connections.  There is a fee to television companies of up to £500 for the Society to input and officially consult on Titanic matters.  As every consultation will have different needs please contact the Society via our contact us page for more information.

  • Can I provide a link to the Belfast Titanic Society from my website?

We normally would be delighted to have a link to websites with something in common with the Society.  However we would ask that prior to setting up a link that you should contact the Society for approval and to discuss if we too can provide a link to your website.
